SPPA T2000 Release 8 (version 8.5)

Version 8.5 (=Release 8.5), the SPPA-T2000 power plant I&C system has been expanded with new functions and performance features.

With the Delivery Release of Release 8.5, Version 8.4 (Release 8.4) is declared as an abandoned product. The product abandonment will not be published separately.

Release 8.5 is functionally compatible with Release 6 and Release 7 and Release 8.1 to 8.4. Plants that have Release 6 or Release 7 or Release 8.1 to 8.4 in operation as a standard or pilot installation, and plants that were engineered with Release 6 or Release 7, can be upgraded to Release 8.5 without any configured user data being lost.

AS 620 B

FUM230 HART with S7-based AP supports HART feature

The FUM230 HART was integrated with SPPA-T2000 Release 8.3, but without supporting the advanced mode which supports the HART feature.
With Release 8.5 the FUM230 HART can now also be used with the HART mode. This mode enables the exchange of HART information with the HART sensor. Access is possible with the SIMATIC Software “Process Device Manager“ (SIMATIC PDM) on a PC connected to the plant bus.

AS 620F based on S7-400F

AS 620F (S7-400F) can now also be additionally engineered with basic automation functions (non fail-safe) and FUM. A maximum of 4 FUM racks are connectable.

The engineering of the non fail-safe functions can be carried out with the ES 680. The engineering of the fail-safe functions has to be done, as before, with the CFC Editor and is not integrated in ES 680.

Tec4function can be used as a higher-level engineering tool. Tec4function generates the function diagrams according to their purpose for the CFC editor or for ES 680.

OM 650 / web4txp
Web4txp 2.3 and web4txp 3.2 are released for use with Thin Clients with Microsoft “Internet Explorer 7“ (IE7).

ES 680

ES/DS-Server

AV42: Drive control with priority for motor (only for very large plants with OM 690)
Parameters for the intelligent field device AV42 can be exported for further use from ES 680 in the standardized TBL format.

LAN

Plant bus, terminal bus and multimedia bus with SCALANCE X212-2
For Ethernet-based bus systems, SCALANCE X212-2 switch can also be used.

With X212-2 switches, optical and electrical rings with a 100 MBit/s backbone can be installed. The X212-2 switch is more cost-effective compared with switches belonging to the X-300 family.
